Do you have a lot of unused buttons lying around? Get your hands busy and turn them into a colorful belt!
Belts are fashion accessories that can spice up a plain, boring outfit. You can wear one that reflects your current mood, or go matchy-matchy with your favorite pair of shoes. Just keep in mind that being fashionable doesn’t have to burn a hole through your pocket. You don’t need to buy the most expensive belt out there. You can even make your own.
If you have leftover buttons from a craft project, or you just happened to collect some over the years, turn them into a work of art. What’s good about this is that you don’t have to continuously deal with belt holes. All you have to do is to simply wrap the loop around several buttons until it feels snug and secure.
This is actually a fun, easy to make DIY project. Button belts are also perfect as gifts to friends and family.
You’ll need these materials:
- Buttons in varying colors
Please note that the number of buttons and the length of the twine will depend on your waist measurement.
And these tools:
- Tape measure
- A pair of scissors
