How to quickly hem jeans?

1. Fold your jeans to make a pattern
Put the jeans on, find where you want your jeans to lay, and pin it at the fold.
2. Pin the folded area
Put the pins near the circumference of the legs to keep them in the same position. Make sure the seams are identical on each leg, and that they are exactly aligned with each other.[1]
Remove your jeans. Take note of where the pin is located, and re-pin the jeans, putting the original hem slightly above your first mark.
3. Sew right next to the original hem

Then do a zig-zag stitch just below the seam you just sewed to help prevent fraying. Cut off the extra fabric, fold it over, and iron flat.
5. Topstitch
Then topstitch. This secures the zig-zag stitch area and prevents it from flipping up after washing. Make sure the thread matches perfectly, and keep your line straight and even.
